历史沿革[edit]
高步大队成立于1962年；1983年归区公所，改为高步乡；1987年建镇后设高步村民委员会；1989年一度称管理区办事处，1999年重称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温23℃、年降雨量1920毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、红麻种、红烟叶。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入2503.9万元。[1]村里种红烟叶、红麻种共1000多亩，据称每年增收300多万元；已有12个自然村修通水泥路，合计约4.8公里。[1]
