大石头村是广东省茂名市化州市合江镇下辖的行政村，在镇的南部，分18个村民小组。[1]村民委员会自述（未注年份）：登记1364户、6517人，总面积10.2平方千米，耕地4215亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年土地改革时分设大石头、平山、中村三乡；1958年公社化，三地为合江公社下的三个大队；1962年合并成大石头大队，驻大石头村，后因该村常受洪水围困，迁到现址鹤地岭；1983年称大石头乡；1987年为大石头村民委员会；1989年称管理区办事处；1999年起复称村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温24℃、年降雨量1900毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、蚕桑、荔枝。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入2371.4万元。[1]全村荔枝、龙眼共种1000多亩，据称每年增加收入100多万元；另投入200多万元修筑水泥路7公里。[1]
