平头岗村隶属高州市荷花镇，是镇下辖的行政村，设平头岗一村、二村、三村，总面积6平方千米，据百度百科人口2986人。[2]村名取自山顶较平的山岗，村子坐落在岗脚下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

平头岗大队设于1961年；1983年先称管理区、后改设乡，1986年为农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]

2025年5月，强降雨在村内引发山体滑坡，据百度百科，造成3人死亡、1人失联。[2]

经济[edit]

村里以农业为主，重点是良种香蕉和速生树木，并以农户加公司的方式发展皮革加工，参与的农户约占八成。2023年莲子种植面积1000亩，产量23万斤，由企业保底收购。[2]

荣誉方面：2019年进入省卫生村名录；2021年9月，在「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」中以沉香入选；2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1][2]
