前进社区位于吴川市浅水镇的镇中心区，是浅水镇下辖的唯一一个社区[1]。名称取不断进步、再创佳绩之意[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区在1987年以前进管理区的名称成立，2001年改名浅水前进社区居委会，名称一直沿用[1]。前进社区在2018年度评选中被列为「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布）；2026年3月入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
