山茶村是吴川市浅水镇北部的行政村，北邻茂名市茂南区公馆镇，辖7条自然村，总面积12平方千米，县道横龙公路穿境而过[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年以前这里属茂名，当年10月转归化州县，1961年归入吴川县长岐区。山茶大队设于1964年，次年划归浅水公社；其后几经更名：1983年为乡委会，1987年为村委会，1989年为管理区，1998年又改回村委会[1]。
村情[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，全村2960人，耕地1300多亩，林地6149亩，另有果园100亩；山茶小学有在校学生300人，2007年村委会办公楼建成[2]。2026年3月，山茶村入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
