前进村在封开县渔涝镇，沿省道水谷线，33个村民小组，2500余人，面积约12平方千米，到县城50千米[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1950年设乡，此后经1955年初级社、1957年高级社，于1958年成为生产大队，1987年起为村民委员会[2]。农业合作化时期，这里办起的农业社是全县最早的一批，被当作先进榜样，村名「前进」由此而来[3]。
经济[edit]
丘陵上的山地栽速生桉和沙糖桔，水田种稻与花生，另有养鱼和养猪[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
五显宫位于上村自然村，建于明代，砖木结构，奉祀五显华光大帝；2022年7月23日被列为「第十批广东省文物保护单位」[1]。
荣誉[edit]
该村为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位（2022年1月由广东省乡村振兴局确定），2026年1月又获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」[1]。
