新江社区是广东省湛江市吴川市博铺街道下辖的社区，设立于1985年[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

名称取临近江边重新建居之意[1]。设于1985年博铺建镇之时，位于街道中段，下辖6个居民小组，包括新明、新华、新兴，以及新风、新民、新城[1][2]。总人口1716人（2009年3月底）[1]；街道概况页所列为1786人[2]。

在1961年称竹根头大队；1985年设新江管理区，1999年改村民委员会，2002年改居民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

社区办公楼三层，建筑面积630平方米[1]。制鞋是主要行业，现有企业16家，塑料鞋年产量5000万双[1]。

著名人物[edit]

岭南画派画家欧豪年（1935年生，2024年4月去世）生于吴川，博雅地名网记其旧居在新江社区[2][3]。
