东江社区是广东省湛江市吴川市博铺街道下辖的社区，设立于1985年[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
因居民沿东江岸边聚居而得名[1]。设于1985年博铺建镇之时，位于街道东北段，下辖6个居民小组，有上街、中街、下街，还有里街、覃园、永胜[1][2]。总人口2725人（2009年3月底）[1]；街道概况页所列为2790人[2]。
1961年分出，设杨屋大队；1985年设东江管理区，1999年改村民委员会，2002年改居民委员会[1]。
经济[edit]
社区办公楼两层，建筑面积460平方米，街巷全部硬底化并装有路灯[1]。制鞋是主要行业，现有企业27家，塑料鞋年产量7800万双[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
茂山书院在东江一带，相传由晋代楼船将军王濬流寓此地时创建，原是藏书之所；后经晋代杨芳、宋代耿著修葺，清同治年间陈兰彬题写门额[3]。现存建筑砖木结构，面积757.75平方米；文物保护级别逐步提升：吴川县级（1990年）、湛江市级（2003年）、广东省第九批省级（2019年5月）[3]。
