新建村是湛江市遂溪县草潭镇辖下的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

名称来历：村委会驻地在新建北地村附近，因此得名。[1]

新建村由靶场移民组成。他们原属北拉大队，1957年8月，北拉大队从湛江炮兵下箔靶场所在的一带搬往草潭公社罗屋大队辖地。1981年，其中一部分分出，另设新建乡；1983年10月改作新建管理区。1984年10月，居民第二次搬迁，落户现址，并接收了同属靶场国防移民的南塘村和响地村。此后基层名称依次为村委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年）、村民委员会（1999年）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2026年3月，获认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
  • 2023年5月，由广东省爱卫会授予村内的北地村、活港村、埠头仔村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
