洋美村在新会区三江镇北部，北倚大湖山，南对新会平原，村域4.8平方千米，会城通往睦洲的公路从村中经过[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名原作「洋尾」：村北地势低洼，常被洪水淹成一片汪洋，后取「美」字的谐音改作洋美[1]。南宋德祐元年（1275年），容姓先祖从南雄珠玑巷迁来定居；清康熙县志已记有洋美村[1]。
1951年土地改革时设洋美乡，辖新村、谢禾、大崎；1957年同官田、良德冲合为八堡乡；1958年分出后改为洋美管理区，之后称大队，1965年新村、谢禾并入，1967年一度叫红卫大队[1]。
人口民族[edit]
村民委员会下辖三个村，共2150人：洋美村的容姓约1850人，茶园村的聂姓200多人，大崎村的余姓80多人；耕地2600亩[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，洋美村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
