官田村在新会区三江镇，傍着银洲湖，三面是山，一面向水，离三江墟约3公里，到新会城区约13公里[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
相传钟姓外来家族数代做官，在三江圈地置田并雇人耕种，村名由此而来[1]。元至正年间（1341年至1368年）已有官田之称，清康熙县志载为潮居都二十图的官田村[1]。
1951年起官田单设一乡，茶园、沙岗、皮子、五四都在其内；之后并入八堡乡，1958年改为官田管理区，1961年拆成五个大队，1965年又合并为官田大队[1]。
经济[edit]
村设2个村民小组，常住人口约1781人；耕地约1801亩，其中水稻765亩、水果花卉633亩、鱼塘316亩。村里开办有香蕉苗基地、冬虫草基地和花卉场，还有多家企业[1]。
荣誉[edit]
官田村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布），并在2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇[1]。
