洋美村在陆丰市甲东镇半岛东南部，面积10平方千米，辖5个村民小组，人口9248人，在镇里属中大型的村，离镇政府约5千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
洋美村落形成于明末崇祯年间。新中国成立后，洋美、横岭、唐厝和长沟合为洋美乡，属第八区（两城区）；1958年长沟划出，洋美乡改属甲东公社；1983年称洋美乡，属甲东区；1987年改村委会，隶甲东镇；1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
村在沿海丘陵上，种水田、花生、冬瓜等，也引进了海边晒盐场和养殖场来增加村收入。[1]
荣誉[edit]
洋美村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」（2019年9月公布）；2020年12月，获2020年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
