联和村在新会区三江镇的中心地带，东边靠近新江村，南靠联合村，西到官田村和五四村，北面连着利生工业园，与圩镇、镇政府连成一片[1]。村名由仁和里、坑口里、齿德里等几个居民点合并而来，取联合、和睦之意[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
据《新会乡土志》，宋末建安郡公必迎曾任广州参军；其子良韶在元皇庆年间（1312年至1313年）迁居三江的蛇尾山，即今细官坑。后人在此开村，称「大进坊」[1]。
民国到1951年，此地归三江乡管；1951年年底单独设联和乡，1957年又并进三江大乡，次年改设联和管理区[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村域面积约7.8平方千米，总人口8000多人，耕地5038亩，其中稻田2363亩[1]。
文化[edit]
每年正月初四和十五的夜晚，村里的「金龙」会在联和、新江两村的村道及厂区舞动，吸引外来观众[1]。联和仁和公园建于2008年，设有健身器材和篮球场[1]。村里还有联和小学[1]。
