河东社区是广东省佛山市高明区杨和镇的居民委员会，因驻地在杨梅河东岸而得名，2004年由原杨梅镇的茶山、杨梅两个村委会和振杨居委会合并设立。[1][3]全社区约31.7平方公里，管着13个村民小组，外加振扬圩镇片区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，这一带属崇化乡杨梅都，有牛扣、独洲、龙湾、桂田、杨梅、云下、大木坑等村。1958年设茶山、杨梅两个大队，归三洲公社；1959年杨梅公社分出，二者划归杨梅公社。1987年设茶山、杨梅村委会，隶杨梅镇；1999年新设杨梅居委会，2002年该居委会改称振杨居委会。[3]

2004年，杨梅、茶山两个村委会和振杨居委会一并撤销，改设河东社区居民委员会；2005年镇街区划调整，改属杨和镇。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

社区13个村民小组中，龙湾、独洲、桂田、牛扣、真竹、大木坑六组在前，杨梅、云下、龙坪、田咀、双田、笋坑、鹿美塘七组在后；另有以圩镇为主的振扬片区。流动人口11466人，多于4156人的户籍人口；设茶山、杨梅两个经联社，村、组两级集体收入主要来自出租山地和水田。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区2017年获广东省科普示范社区称号。[2]2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局又将其列为乡村治理示范村的创建单位（2021年度）。[1]
