紫南村是佛山市禅城区南庄镇西北部的行政村，在紫洞圩以南，因而得名；西邻北江支流，辖区面积5.88平方千米，下辖15个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据介绍，紫南开村于明末清初，是珠三角的桑基鱼塘村落。[2] 1958年10月南庄公社成立时称紫南大队，1983年11月改紫南乡，1987年2月设南庄镇紫南村民委员会，1999年3月复称村民委员会，2002年12月划归禅城区。[3]

人口[edit]

2018年6月，常住居民6471人，此外有7300多名外来人员；人口最多的村头村有890多人，最少的黄埔村59人。[1] 另一份统计写明2018年11月户籍人口6603人，党员177人。[4]

经济[edit]

改革开放后，村里建起经济开发区，发展陶瓷工业；后转向专业市场和现代服务业。村集体经济收入由2008年的930万元增至2019年的1.05亿元，村民人均分红从每年846元提高到10200元。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

紫南文化旅游区为国家4A级旅游景区，区内有广府家训馆、佛山好人馆、紫南村史馆等。[2][1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年11月，紫南村获评「第五届全国文明村镇」；2019年12月入选「全国乡村治理示范村」名单；2019年入选广东省首批十大美丽乡村。[1][2] 2023年11月入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。[3]
