历史沿革[edit]
据百度百科，紫洞北宋真宗年间这里已有圩市；明万历年间置递铺，康熙年间添设邮站，到明末清初成了水路转运的据点。[1] 1958年10月南庄公社成立时属紫湖大队，1963年5月新置紫洞大队，1983年称紫洞乡，1987年2月设南庄镇紫洞村民委员会，2002年12月划归禅城区。[3][4]

2019年2月统计，户籍约4031人，外来者约2000人。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
三华罗氏大宗祠明末始建，清代重建，原为占地约2000平方米的四进院落，如今只剩东侧厢房和第四进，是佛山市文物保护单位。[5] 村内还有树龄约800年的古榕，建有罗登贤事迹展，为禅城区爱国主义教育基地。[1]
荣誉[edit]
曾获「佛山市党员教育基地」「禅城区爱国主义教育基地」「佛山市生态示范村」等称号；2023年11月入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。[2][3]
