历史沿革[edit]
1958年10月为鳌北大队，1961年8月调整时鳌北大队分出杏头和贺丰两个大队；1983年11月称杏头乡，1987年2月设南庄镇杏头村民委员会，2002年12月划归禅城区。[3]
经济[edit]
村里首家工厂是1964年创办的五金制扣厂，陶瓷制造业从1991年起发展，2021年起改造工业区、筹建千亩智造产业园。新民主主义革命时期牺牲的南庄籍烈士里，有7人来自杏头。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年8月列入「佛山市“百千万工程”第二批典型镇村」，2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[3]
