埔尾村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇西北部，距镇政府约6公里，谷关公路从村前经过，半山区，面积2.3平方千米，有4571人、895户[1]。

地名与历史[edit]

村创于明洪武年间（1368—1398年），在蜈蚣尖山埔下方，故名埔尾[1][2]。1953年与龙寮、西寮二村合为埔龙西农业生产大队；1980年拆分，复称埔尾大队，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

耕地770亩、山地3282亩，以农业为主，出产杨梅、杨桃、橄榄；2013年村集体收入17万元，农民年人均收入6766元。2019年9月入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
