兴平村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇，面积1.613平方千米，有3118人、610户，村民以耕山种果为主[1]。村名取兴旺平安之意[2]。

历史与现状[edit]

村创建于明崇祯年间（1628—1644年），1951年划归外八乡，1968年起叫兴平农业生产大队，1984年改乡，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1]。

山地980亩、耕地389亩；2013年村集体收入154万元，农民年人均收入6360元。2019年9月入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
