白石社区在汕头市潮阳区和平镇，创村时村前有一块白色巨石，因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村志类材料称明洪武年间（1368—1398年），曾、郑、马、肖、刘等姓先后迁来居住。1958年起为白石农业生产大队，1984年归入和平乡，1986年改设白石村委会，1988年改叫管理区，1999年又改居民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

简介称社区有485户、2862人，耕地168亩、池塘70亩、山林180亩，企业7家，村民以务农和外出务工为主（简介未注年份）。[1]2019年9月，白石社区进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
