胡坑村是仁化县丹霞街道辖下的行政村，在县城以北约12公里、省道246线旁。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来由，是最早在此居住的人姓胡，村子又坐落在两山之间的坑地。新中国成立后属城关区附城乡；1950年代初属胡康乡，后改称胡峰乡、胡官乡，1957年并入附城乡；1958年成为丹霞公社的胡坑大队，1998年撤管理区设胡坑村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村14个村小组，578户、2393人，常住约1920人，党员68名。[1]
经济[edit]
村有耕地5500亩、山林22074亩，农村居民人均纯收入在2014年为10005元。村里种过花生、西瓜、水稻、莲藕和柑橘类水果；街道近年又在这里建了700亩辣椒基地。当地旧话说「康溪芋头，胡坑糯」。[1][2]
据仁化县人民政府网站对丹霞街道的介绍，胡坑村也是街道的香芋产区之一（香芋种植约1500亩，集中在胡坑、康溪、官口、岭田、狮井等村），并是沙田柚的主要分布村之一。[3]
