吉贝社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的涉农社区，面积0.26平方千米，西靠汕头市第一中学新校区之北，东临万吉工业区，与西畔、万石两社区相连。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村民早先以织“胶播”布为业，村名叫“胶播陇”，后来取谐音改为“吉贝”。[1] 宋代时隶揭阳县蓬洲都，1563年澄海立县后归其管辖。1953年8月设万吉乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），此后改为万吉西生产大队。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

社区有耕地约200亩，常住1640人，共355户，设居民小组4个。集体经济收入主要靠出租集体建设用地，每年30多万元。社区把一次性出租七年集体用地所得，用于水改、电改、篮球广场和村道路灯等项目。[1]
