龙美社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的涉农社区，在韩江下游，与潮安区隔河相望，毗邻草池、延陵两社区，面积约0.7平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
渔洲一带自渔五、渔上到渔下，连成“渔洲龙”，此村处在龙的西尾，原叫“龙尾”，后取“尾”“美”谐音改为龙美。[1] 宋时隶揭阳县蓬洲都。1953年8月设渔下乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），1956年3月并入澄海县渔洲乡，此后改为渔下生产大队。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
社区有6个居民小组、470户、约2100人。汕头市国土局在1993年至1995年分两批征去土地670亩，1998年村民全部转为非农业户口，留给集体的130亩建设用地租给企业，租金成为社区集体收入。居民主要靠外出打工和做小生意。[1]
2017年10月，龙美社区获第一批广东省卫生村称号；社区还名列广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村，时间是2026年1月。[1]
