铁洲社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的纯农社区，辖区面积近1.3平方千米，在龙湖区东北端，东濒新津河，西边挨着火车客运站。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子旧称溪边村，1463年（明天顺七年）开始有人定居，土地由韩江与海沙冲积而成。翁氏族人从福建莆田迁到今浦蓬洲，再迁此垦荒；相传早先有铁匠在此建村，称“打铁洲”，后改称铁洲。[1] 宋代时隶揭阳县蓬洲都，1563年澄海立县后归其管辖。1953年8月设渔五乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），此后改为渔五生产大队。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
社区有191户、728人，九成为农业人口，耕地150亩；辖内4家企业；2009年工农业总产值逾865万元，人均年收入4400元。[1]
