草池社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的涉农社区，在梅溪河东北岸、万吉工业区北面，东靠延陵社区，西靠龙美社区，面积0.35平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代建村之初，这里草木茂盛、池塘相连，故名草池。[1] 宋代时隶揭阳县蓬洲都，1563年澄海立县后归其管辖。1953年8月设渔下乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），此后改为渔下生产大队。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
社区有451户、1271人，农业人口1007人；耕地312亩，分3个居民小组。种养业是支柱，所养狮头鹅成为鸥汀有名的品牌，近年又发展蔬菜种植。2009年工农业总产值为2619万元，农民人均年收入4700元。[1]
草池列入2022年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，在当年8月公布；社区还名列广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村，时间是2026年1月。2023年7月，龙湖区的第一场“百千万工程”现场会就在草池开。[1][2]
