流美社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的纯非农社区，在龙湖区北部，总面积约300亩，位于新津河西岸，紧挨汕头火车货运北站。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村落约形成于1660年（顺治十七年），在溪流下游，原叫“流尾”，后取“尾”“美”谐音改称流美。[1] 宋代时隶揭阳县蓬洲都，1563年澄海立县后归其管辖。1953年8月设渔五乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），此后改为渔五生产大队。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
社区有298户、1390人，另有外来人口459人。落户的企业涉及皮具、电子和货运物流；2009年经济总收入1600万元，集体年收入48万元。[1] 2017年10月获第一批广东省卫生村称号。[1]
