万石社区是广东省汕头市龙湖区鸥汀街道下辖的涉农社区，在龙湖区东北部，北与龙美社区接壤，南邻吉贝社区，西傍梅溪河，面积约0.4平方千米，当地以养金鱼出名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始建于南宋建炎年间，由石姓族人从福建莆田迁来，居民多姓石，故名。[1] 宋代时隶揭阳县蓬洲都，1563年澄海立县后归其管辖。1953年8月设万吉乡（汕头市郊区下蓬区），此后改为万吉西生产大队。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

社区有503户、2158人，耕地220亩，分3个居民小组；2009年工农业总产值为906万元，村民人均收入4200元。[1]

金鱼养殖和青草药种植是传统产业。金鱼养殖可追溯到晚清，已有约百年；社区被称为“金鱼之乡”，还是市里的中草药种植基地之一。[1] 另一份资料称，这里有养殖和经营的专业户70户，年产各类金鱼30多万条，出产金鳞泡眼、半鳞泡眼、珠兰、绒球等良种，远销港深穗。[2]

万石在2026年3月入选广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

万石陈氏家庙在万石村南来路3号东侧，建于清代，2014年10月列为汕头市文物保护单位。[3]
