西坑社区是园山街道的6个社区之一，在街道南部、梧桐山北麓，下设一、二、三村3个居民小组。据龙岗区政府网站，辖区面积9.57平方千米。社区名称来自梧桐河两岸的茜草，原写作茜坑。[1][2][3]

名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，社区靠梧桐山，梧桐河流经，两岸长满茜草，故名“西坑”；百度百科则写作原名“茜坑”。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期先后属惠阳县第三区、惠阳县横岗乡。1958年公社化时，西坑、安良、大康组成西康营，归横岗人民公社；1967年7月西坑与安良合并为西安大队。1983年4月改乡，成立西坑乡人民政府；1987年1月撤乡改村，称西坑村民委员会；1993年1月随龙岗区设立归横岗镇。2004年9月农村城市化，改称西坑社区。[4]

地理与荣誉[edit]

社区三面环山，位于梧桐山国家级风景名胜区生态保护区内，龙岗河源头梧桐河自南向北流过，绿化率据称达94%（博雅地名网），另据百度百科森林覆盖率为75.8%。[2][3]1999年社区获“全国造林绿化千佳村”，被广东省评为生态示范村；2019年12月入选首批国家森林乡村；2022年8月被认定为第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区。[2][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

西坑大围在西坑三村，始建于清初，大门朝北，占地约5200平方米，三堂两横布局，围内有杨氏宗祠，围中轴正对祭祀关帝的协天宫。[5]百度百科另载，社区内有区级文物保护单位杨槐庄明代墓葬群，并称清雍正年间李、杨等九姓客家人在此建围屋聚居。[3]
