大部村在南雄市水口镇境内，位于水口镇北部，属革命老区村[1]。下辖16个自然村，分为16个村民小组，人口2396人；耕地3500亩，另有林地2300亩。主要作物为黄烟、水稻、花生。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名由来：据当地说法，村中居住人口多，是一个大村庄，故称大部。[2]

1949年设大部农会，1954年组成大部初级社，1956年升格为高级社；1960年拆为大部、塘背两个大队，1963年又合为大部大队；1983年起称大部乡，1988年称大部管理区，撤销管理区、设立大部村委会，一直延续至今。[1]

近年的称号与名单：

  • 2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之一（2019年9月公布）。[1]
