历史沿革[edit]
地名由来：据当地说法，村子四周都是起伏绵延的红沙岭，岭上不长树木，呈赤红之色，故取名赤岭。[2]
1954年成立赤岭初级社，1956年升格为赤岭高级社；1963年下湖、赤岭并为下湖大队；1983年起称赤岭乡，1988年称赤岭管理区，撤销管理区、设立赤岭村村民委员会，一直延续至今。[1]
