河村在南雄市水口镇境内，位于水口镇西部，属革命老区村[1]。下辖13个自然村，分为13个村民小组，共501户、2023人；耕地1844亩，另有林地791亩，总面积约3平方千米。主要作物为黄烟、水稻、花生。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
地名由来：因村庄地处浈江河岸，故称河村。[2]
1949年设河坪农会，1954年组成河坪初级社，1956年升格为高级社；1963年河村、大坪和张河坝片并为河坪大队；1983年从中分出，称河村乡，1988年称河村管理区，撤销管理区、设立河村村委会，一直延续至今。[1]
近年的称号与名单：
- 2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之一（2019年9月公布）。[1]
