下境村是广东省广州市增城区仙村镇下辖的行政村，在仙村圩南面，临东江河畔，地处广园东快速路延长线的仙村出口一带。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村在仙村南侧，北边另有上境村与它相对，所以称下境。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地的建村传说是：北宋咸平年间，列之杰一支自山西南下广州，其后一部分人转到此处立村。入新中国后，这里先是下境乡，1956年入星光社，1958年随仙村公社改编为星光大队，1976年改名下境大队，1983年再称下境乡，1987年起由下境村民委员会管理。2004年划归新塘镇，2012年回到恢复建制的仙村镇。[1]

全村总面积约3平方千米，有6条自然村、18个村民小组，常住1063户4400人（博雅地名网所录，未注年份）；耕地约2000亩，鱼塘约400亩，劳动力多外出务工。村内的仙村水泥厂停产清拆后环境改观。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2024年11月获「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」认定。[1]
