地名由来[edit]
村处在山间河谷的小平原上，洪水一来就积水成湖，所以叫岳湖。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明朝洪熙年间，曾应麟由花县迁到此处立村。解放初期属宁北乡，1956年为五星高级社，1958年设岳湖大队，隶仙村公社；1983年称岳湖乡，1987年起设岳湖村民委员会。[1]
概况与荣誉[edit]
博雅地名网所录资料称，村常住2600多人，外来人口3000多人，以种蔬菜为主，有小学和卫生站各一间。2024年11月获「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」认定；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
