地名由来[edit]
清代这里叫湖山，后来“湖”字被误写成“潮”，沿用成了今名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村始建于元至正年间（1367年），始祖为谢赖。解放初期归下西乡，1952年改属蓝山乡，1955年小乡时转入宁北乡；其后1956年有潮山社，1958年有潮山大队，1983年称潮山乡，1987年起设潮山村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
博雅地名网所录资料称，村常住1452人，有黄氏宗祠等老建筑，经济以农业为主，兼做床上用品加工，村内有潮山小学。[1]
