地名由来[edit]
西福河在村前淤出一块沙洲，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
开村先祖温克欢于南宋淳熙年间（1174年）从江西迁来。解放前属宁乡，1956年合作化时为沙滘农业社，1958年为沙滘大队，1983年称沙滘乡，1987年起设沙滘村民委员会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
集体收入主要来自出租周边厂房，村民多种菜或进厂务工。2024年11月获「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」认定；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」，并获「2025年广州市高质量充分就业街镇社区（村）」认定。[1]
