狮象村属广州市从化区吕田镇，是该镇辖下的行政村。全村面积约30.4平方千米，在吕田镇中部，邻近响水峡景区；下设15个村民小组，博雅地名网记载总人口1690人（年份未注明）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来历是：村前约2公里处有座石山，形如狮子伏在平地上，因此取名狮象。狮象大队于1958年设立；1983年12月起同水埔一道并入狮象乡；1987年1月重新分开，更名为狮象村民委员会，名称沿用到现在。[1]
经济[edit]
村里借邻近响水峡景区的条件建设旅游村，办有有机蔬菜基地和花卉场，形成以生态旅游、乡村游为主，蔬菜、花卉、水稻种植为辅的格局。距从化市区约60公里，离吕田镇约4公里。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
狮象遗址在村东南，年代为新石器时代至商代，2008年12月公布为第七批广州市文物保护单位。[1]
