莲麻村属广州市从化区吕田镇，是该镇辖下的行政村。全村面积约41.2平方千米，在吕田镇北部，国道G105附近；下设11个村民小组，博雅地名网记载总人口1397人（年份未注明）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名因当地的莲麻树而来。莲麻大队于1958年设立；1983年12月改设莲麻乡；1987年1月更名为莲麻村民委员会，名称沿用到现在。[1]

经济[edit]

村里只有一条过境公路，农业以三华李和水稻为主，并引入度假村项目发展生态旅游。距从化市区约65公里，离吕田镇约10公里（百度百科作约14公里）。[2][1]

文化[edit]

百度百科记载，莲麻村由客家人迁居形成，村中有百年客家围屋光裕第；黄沙坑一带当年是东江纵队的活动区域，光裕第是解放战争时期中国共产党的根据地，现设有黄沙坑革命旧址纪念馆。[2]

著名人物[edit]

陈洁（1915—1962），又名陈景渐，莲麻村人，1940年6月入党，曾任区委书记等职。[1]
