新星村是广州市从化区城郊街道中部的行政村，北部有花卉大道，中部有县道X286线斜穿而过，距从化城区约5公里。[1][2]土地面积225.46公顷，含3个自然村、10个经济社，2017年底户籍人口1200人。[2]

村名寓意如新星冉冉升起、村民出人头地。官方简介记村建于1963年，博雅地名网则记1958年成立新星大队。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

这里原由广州市农场局管辖，2000年9月1日划归城郊街。[1]新星与光辉两队在1983年12月曾并为光辉乡，到1987年1月分开，新星设村民委员会。[1]

自然环境与荣誉[edit]

流溪河支流龙潭河从村的西北部流过，鱼塘较多；村里有5棵百年以上的古树。[2]村民以种水稻为主，另有部分村级工业。[2]2023年5月，新星村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
