荷村是广州市从化区城郊街道西部的行政村，东面是高步村，南面是新开村，西面是大夫田村和明珠工业园，北面连着茂新村和横江公司，距从化城区约4公里。[1]全村总面积16平方千米，含5个自然村、20个经济合作社，常住约3000人。[1][2]

村名有两种说法：博雅地名网记为旧时驻地附近种有荷花；百度百科则称该村始建于明代，古时叫「柯村」，因村后的后龙山形如凤凰嘴衔荷花而改今名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

荷村大队设于1958年；1983年12月，它与夫田大队并为边联乡；1987年1月起叫荷村村民委员会。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

百度百科称村内有石灰石、红柱石等矿产，农业以葡萄、南瓜、美国香瓜为主，企业有铅笔厂和农机修造厂。[2]2023年5月，荷村获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
