沙亭村在番禺区化龙镇北部，北临珠江，距镇中心约3公里，面积约6.77平方千米，下设12个生产队。[1]村内有清末修建的沙路炮台遗址，村以花卉种植为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村址原是海滩，海沙冲积成沙堤，乡人称作「沙路」，传说始于1107年。[1]明末清初，诗人屈大均曾在此从事反清复明活动，离开时留下刻有「明水长环」的石碑，又在村口建了一座角亭，村名遂改为沙亭。[1]1987年设沙亭村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村里住着常住居民2640人，另有外来人员约800人；农业为主，尤以花卉出名。[1]2021年9月，沙亭村（荫生花卉）列入广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单；2022年1月，村又进入广东省乡村振兴局确定的2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

沙路炮台建在村北的马腰岗与兵岗两处山冈，与长洲岛隔江相对，清光绪十年（1884年）由两广总督张之洞主持修建，现存9座圆柱形炮台遗址。[2]1938年广州沦陷后炮台被日军炸毁。[2]炮台先在2008年被定为广州市文物保护单位，到2019年再升广东省级，现已建成遗址公园。[2]
