村域面积约3.5平方千米，下辖14个村民小组，总人口2174人；西侧是沙湾的景观廊道，南面是沙湾水道，沙湾大道、景观大道、市良路穿过村域，到市桥中心区约20分钟。[1]

经济[edit]

村集体收入主要来自出租土地、厂房和耕地收入。村里祠堂数十间，保存较好的有村委会所在的祠堂和舞鳌鱼祠；还有一处养奶牛已有300多年历史的基地。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月，该村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2025年12月入选「2025年番禺区充分就业社区（村）」名单。[1]
