新洲村是广州市番禺区沙湾街道下辖的行政村，位于沙湾西北，靠近顺德区，占地约1.6平方千米。^[1]村地狭长蜿蜒，旧称「蛇洲」，围垦成田后改名「古坝新洲」，今称新洲，取新开辟河洲之意。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新洲村东西极窄、南北狭长，形状似蛇，俗称「蛇洲」；人工围垦成田后叫「古坝蛇洲围」，后因「蛇洲」二字不雅，改称「古坝新洲」，简称新洲，寓新开辟的河洲之意。1987年设立新洲村民委员会。^[1]

2009年耕地约1191亩，人口2195人、653户。2008年工农业总产值2.31亿元，比上年增长5.1%。^[1]

2020年8月，新洲村（盆栽花卉）列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单；2024年11月入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」名单。^[1]
