西村是广东省肇庆市封开县河儿口镇的行政村，辖13个村民小组，博雅地名网记载总人口约1369人，水田约1099亩，林地约5000亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地先后经历生产大队（1982年时）、乡人民政府（1983年）两个阶段，到1987年定为村民委员会。[2]
1987年，西村村民委员会依广东省人民政府的通知（封府〔1987〕16号）设立，因委员会驻在西村而得名。[3]
地理环境[edit]
位置在水谷公路边，是莫宣卿故居所在的村。[1]山上多种沙糖桔、贡柑，水田种稻、花生、黄烟。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
唐代状元莫宣卿，据百度百科生于封川县文德乡长乐里，即今河儿口镇西村；他的墓在西村东坡的锣鼓岗上。[4]
广东省乡村振兴局2022年1月把西村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位，同年8月又列为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
