大坪村位于武平县中堡镇，村名因地势平坦而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

因地势平坦而得名。[3]

民国时设大坪、石坑二保，隶上中乡；建国初成为大坪村，1952年称大坪乡，同属上中区；1958年以后组建大坪大队，归中堡公社；1984年设大坪村委会，属中堡镇。[2]

2021年1月，大坪村获授予2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
