大坪村隶属延平区塔前镇，在镇域西南部，以沙县为南邻，尤溪县在其东，西侧与西芹镇相接。村委会驻地在大坪，村子建在高山上的平坦地带，村名由此而来。村庄位于金凤山脚下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368）此地隶大源内里，清代仍之。1929年划入第五区白塔乡，1941年改属第一区，1943年归洋洲乡，1949年改隶第五区的菖白乡。1952年改属第十区陇岭乡，1958年并入火车头（西芹）公社，1961年设土堡公社西山大队，1980年改称大坪大队，1984年改设土堡乡下的大坪村委会，1989年隶塔前乡，1993年改属塔前镇。[1]

自然与产业[edit]

村中有一片百年红豆杉群。村民以种植水稻、食用菌、毛竹和果树为主，兼营养蜂，外出务工是收入的主要来源之一。[3][2]
