白沙村位于漳浦县旧镇镇东南部，北邻桥头村，西邻狮头村，东面隔浯江江口与竹屿盐场相望，南面濒临浮头湾海域。全村1018户，4155人，以一个自然村为行政村，村民以陈姓为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地为旧镇镇白沙保。新中国初期属第八区（后改称浯江区）的白沙乡，1956年10月浯江区撤销，白沙改归旧镇镇。1958年9月设旧镇公社白沙大队，即今白沙村。[2]

姓氏与开基[edit]

村中以陈姓为主。始祖陈克建是陈元光的后裔，元代时自东山岛岐下（骥霞）迁来开基。白沙在明代已成大族，分支迁往杜浔东山园、六鳌尾与路边；清代又分支到闽东霞浦与广西荔浦。[2]

渔业与滩涂[edit]

村中耕地不多，水田种稻与香蕉，农地种花生与豆类，山坡地种桃、李与荔枝。滩涂上建有鱼虾池约三千亩，以对虾与白鳗混养为主，产品多销往日本等国。[2]

自清代起，白沙渔民便在巴流、菜屿、红屿、横屿、井等岛屿上，经营「竖桁」定置网渔业。后来小船装上电机，往返更加快捷。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村东石牛顶有妈祖庙，建于清嘉庆二年，面向大海。村中还有陈氏大祖祠。[2]
