大坪社区位于泉州市区东侧的大坪山上，辖区内两个回族自然村落分别叫大坪和大山边。这里是丰泽区唯一的回族聚居地。[1]

2025年，社区划归临海街道。[4]

地名与地理[edit]

博雅地名网的说法是：村名源于一块形似盘石的平地，四周群山环绕，草木繁茂；附近居民陆续迁来定居，之后东街的阿拉伯后裔也迁入，于是形成村落。[2]

社区东接大小桃花山，西临灵山圣墓，南面与千亿山庄相接，北与城东街道的东星社区相连。郑成功公园的主址也在辖区内。[1]

人口与民族[edit]

2021年，社区面积约1.44平方千米，全社区281户、5个居民小组，居民1198人。回族居民有1136人，占比约98%。[1]

产业[edit]

社区居民种植的叶类青菜被称为「大坪小白菜」，在泉州市区颇有名气，社区也希望借此打响这一品牌。[1]

保护与发展[edit]

1995年，大坪山经国务院批准列入清源山风景保护区，此后工业发展受到一定限制。[3]
