大坪村属杉城镇，位于泰宁县西部，峨嵋峰脚下，距县城约15公里。据博雅地名网，它是杉城镇辖下最小的行政村。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

村中原有漂岩、无坑、大岭头三个自然村，迁到此地。1977年从帐干村分出，设大坪毛竹垦殖场，为镇直属企业。[2]

1992年7月改为建置村，并设村民委员会，名为杉城镇大坪村。[3]

荣誉[edit]

1995年度，村被授予「奔小康示范村」和毛竹生产专业村称号。1997至1998年间，县政府将「十佳毛竹村」授予本村。[1]

革命历史与古迹[edit]

1934年阻击战期间，村是红军驻地。[1]

2013年名录登记大坪古驿道（明清，古遗址）。[4]
