大坪村是坂面镇的行政村，村名取自所在自然村地势平坦开阔。[1]

所在的自然村地势平坦开阔，因而称作大坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，大坪大队改为大坪村，并设村委会。[1]

明清时，这里属尤溪二十七都。解放初曾设大坪乡，1958年建大坪大队，归坂面公社。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，大坪村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

2024年7月，大坪村获2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）称号，同月另获2021至2023年三明市达标「六无」村（社区）认定。[1]
