历史沿革[edit]

村民在溪坑上游定居，村因此得名。[3]

古时属十四都。新中国成立前为高桂乡桂岩保，此后属高桥区桂岩乡。1958年成为高桥公社的上坑大队，1984年改设上坑村村民委员会，沿用至今。[4]
